About your trainer

Michael’s first client was in 2011 on Andros, Island Bahamas.  Strange enough, it was during his tens years as a Remote Medic, Adventure Guide and Master Scuba Diver Trainer he found his first clients and developed his own style.  After working through two hurricanes,  leading backpacking trips in Northern California and the East Coast, SCUBA diving in Bahamas, Belize, Hawaii, & Monterey Bay, CA., Mike finally settled in Columbus to be near family and friends.

It was this lifestyle which sprouted a new way of training clients.  Fitness for everyday life centered around outdoor adventure and traveling.

So, it is with this mentality the ethos of Elements to Fitness was created.  To enrich lives from the inside out and instill a desire to push the limits of what we think is possible.

About Elements To Fitness

Who we are:

Elements to Fitness is an adventure-based fitness company.  We live for our client’s health and well-being.  We utilize a unique approach to fitness and training which centers around outdoor adventure.

What we do:

We train our clients two ways.  One on One Personal Training and Realtime Virtual Training.

We achieve success for our clients by holding them accountable to diet and lifestyle outside of the gym. We utilize:

  • Weekly check-ins
  • food journals
  • life coaching
  • nutrition coaching
  • Specialized programs for each client

We keep our clients’ imaginations running, their dreams alive, their spirits lifted, and their bodies respond with positive life-changing results!

How we do it:

We push that 1% envelope each time.  In the scientific world some called it Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands, or S.A.I.D.. The body adapts to the outside stressors placed upon it.  So, that is exactly what we will do.  But, we will do it with precision and purpose.  

Each client begins at a certain fitness level and each are unique so,  specific programs are created to attain those specific results in a timely manner.

  • Core strength
  • range of motion
  • stability & balance
  • fast twitch & slow twitch muscle fibers
  • plyometrics and much more are addressed. 

We also prevent the dreaded “plateau” affect which occurs after the body has adapted to the routine workout.  We modify the exercises and keep the body guessing by changing

  • the timing of the exercises
  • the timing of reps
  • the weight & resistance platforms
  • range of motion
  • rest cycles and more.

  • Some prefer that  “training spot” for a workout.  If that is your flavor, then our private training studio is ideal for you!

  1. Virtual Personal Training:
  • For those who have equipment laying around the garage this is for you!
  • If you love to blast ‘80’s hair metal music this is for you! Lol
  • If you enjoy the convenience and safety of  home. This is for you!
  • Use your tablet, phone or laptop and in real-time with a professional get strong and confident!  
  • We will be there every step of the way, watching form and keeping you motivated!

Training Rates

Average cost for a one hour session ranges from $50 to $80 (these rates apply to both In-person and Realtime Virtual training.)

Rates will vary depending upon the length of session, how many times per week and how many months the program progress!
